Soul Sacrifice is a video game in development by Marvelous AQL and Japan Studio for the PlayStation Vita. The concept was created by Keiji Inafune, best known for being the co-designer on Mega Man. The core mechanic of the game is the ability to sacrifice parts of the character's body or items to create devastating attacks. These sacrifices will be permanently marked on the player character's body, meaning that they are not an infinite resource that can be tapped into. Soul Sacrifice will be available through both physical and digital distribution in Japan. Its release in North America and Europe has been confirmed, but no expected release date or method of delivery has been announced.
The playable character will be able to be chosen from multiple types and customizable to a player's preferences, based on the basic template of sorcerer.
